Bike Manawatu has followed guidelines and done our best to implement safe procedures to allow our races to continue during these uncertain times.
We are super excited that with guidelines starting to ease we navigate our way to a new normal and are able to welcome everyone back to our races and events.

At Red
From 11:59pm on Friday 25 March:
There will be no limits for outdoor activities, such as gatherings and events. My Vaccine Passes must be used until 11:59pm on 4 April.
You do not need to wear a face mask outdoors. – however if you wish to continue to wear your mask we respect your decision – Other face mask rules remain unchanged — face masks are still required in most indoor settings.
There is no requirement to scan in or for us to have our QR code on display
Please note we still require all riders to pre register for all of our events (no late registrations) This helps us plan for our events and communicate with riders if anything changes.
From 11:59pm on 4 April 2022, there will be no requirement to use My Vaccine Pass. Until 4 April, where My Vaccine Passes are not used, the current restrictions remain — but after this time, the new capacity limits will apply to everyone.
Self-isolate for 7 days if you test positive or live with someone who has Covid-19 – Please follow the public health guidelines.

The Delta variant has spread rapidly worldwide and is now the main variant in many countries, including NZ. It is the most transmissible variant, spreading a lot easier than the original version of the COVID-19 virus and other variants and requires additional consideration.
IMPORTANT Information to all riders, volunteers and race officials involved in our Bike Manawatu Event.
Under both RED & ORANGE traffic light settings the event is able to go ahead but there will be conditions.
Under RED
With My Vaccine pass – Up to 100 people per gathering (based on allowing 1m2 of space per person)
All Riders MUST present My Vaccine Pass – Scan our QR Codes – Wear a mask when not riding – STAY HOME IF YOU ARE SICK OR A CLOSE CONTACT
All Riders must pre register & pay online
Sport and Recreation activities are limited to groups of 100 in a defined space in an outdoor space.
Please stay home if you are sick
A QR code will be available for all riders, volunteers and spectators
Social distancing is to be maintained for everyone during the event, but riders are not subject to it during the active competition part of their race.
Masks should be worn by everyone at all times, except during the active competition
Hand hygiene,please use sanitizer available if touching surfaces
Cough and sneeze etiquette. Please be considerate of others and no spitting, coughing or clearing your nose in the bunch
No cash payments will be accepted
No late registrations on the day will be accepted
Avoid touching surfaces & avoid sharing equipment
No congregating pre or post event, please vacate the area in a timely manner
No prize giving to take place under level 2 guidelines
