Cycling New Zealand Licences

Cycling NZ are excited to be offering digital licence cards to all Cycling New Zealand Members in 2022!

With the goal of minimizing our carbon footprint, we are moving away from traditional plastic cards in 2022, and are pleased to be offering digital licences with all memberships from 2022. Upon purchase, your licence will be emailed direct to your inbox, and will be downloadable as a PDF file and accessible in your digital wallet on your mobile phone for your convenience!

In 2022, if you still wish to receive a traditional plastic licence card, you will have the option to ‘opt-in’ for this when renewing your membership. We do, however, encourage all members to consider making this small but significant change to their membership this year. We fully support the use of digital licences at Cycling New Zealand events.

Cycling New Zealand Licenced Members Insurance

Included in your Cycling New Zealand membership is cover under our Public Liability insurance.
If you are racing or training and have an accident causing damage to someone else’s property, this will be  covered. You will still need your own insurance to cover your personal equipment for damage or theft.

We also support our affiliated clubs and organisations with this cover for club activity.

Cycling New Zealand Licenced 2022 Membership Fees

Here at Cycling New Zealand, Covid-19 has changed the way we operate as an organisation. Throughout this time, we remain committed to delivering the best experience possible to our members, and want to ensure that we can continue to create opportunities for New Zealanders to get out on their bikes.

We acknowledge that Covid-19 has had a significant impact on the lives of everyone, and understand that 2020 has brought a lot of uncertainty to many. For this reason, we have worked really hard to ensure we maintain consistency with our Cycling New Zealand licence fees for 2022, as we are aware of the effects an increase in cost would have on our members in 2022.
