A reminder to our female members, the late entry fee applies from Tuesday.
On a quick tally up the race entry pack and lunch come to more than what your entry fee is so definitely a good value event.
Entries can be done online.

This Saturday is the Family Fun day which will have parents riding as well as the kids. It is listed on the calendar as a Juniors vs The rest. We are trialling a 10am start for those who wanted racing in the mornings rather than the afternoons and are ending with lunch at Raumai Reserve. Followed by a swim if desired. Lunch is in the form of a BBQ so please let me know by preregistering by sending an email to secretary@bikemanawatu.co.nz by Friday 4pm so I can go grocery shopping. If you do not preregister please don’t be offended if you only get a sausage on a piece of bread rather than the whole deal.
Look at the calendar for full distances available. Meet at Ashhurst ;ibrary at 10am
Also la Femme Fun ride. Entries can be done online. Look at www.bikemanawatu.co.nz and follow the la femme page then go to how to enter and click on the “click here to enter”
Late entry fee applies from Tuesday. On a quick tally up the race entry pack and lunch come to more than what your entry fee is so definately a ride that is worth entering.

Bike NZ recently ran a level 1 coaching course over Waitangi weekend in which a number of Bike Manawatu people attended. The course aims to give basics skills and advice to participants so they can coach road cyclist. In order to achieve accreditation, potential coaches must complete some practical coaching sessions and observe well experienced coaches, not necessarily from a cycling discipline.
The course run in Palmerston North was at the request of Bike Manawatu and links to the clubs desire to develop an internal coaching capacity for members of the club.
