Planning for the NZCT Women’s Tour is progressing well. The promotion of the tour will be similar to the NZ Cycle Classic; Jorge is currently working on spectator booklets and a similar lift out feature in the Manawatu Standard. There will also be a teams presentation for the Women’s Tour and invitations for this will be sent out early next week. The first stage for the Women’s Tour will be an individual time trial out at Massey, you can view all the stage information on the cycle tour website
The NZ Cycle Classic received fantastic coverage and Jorge will be working to ensure the women’s tour receives a similar profile. Again Jorge will be in charge of race releases however if you want to be added to the distribution list then please email
We have also created an online storyboard that covers photos, videos, media releases and social media updates from the 33 Days of Cycling and the tour. It provides a quick overview and some of the most recent media releases;

Throughout the 33 days Sport Manawatu and the Manawatu Standard are looking for the best cycling shots taken from around our region.
The winning photographer will receive an iPad 2. Photos can be sent to or submitted via most social media networks, for details:
