Submissions to the MDC annual plan are now open. It is important that as cyclists if we want to be considered in the planning in the district that we let the Council know that we exist and are interested. If there is something in the plan relating to cycling then we need to let them know whether we think it is a good idea or not. If the Council does not hear from us as individuals they may assume that the provision is unnecessary and therefore delete it from the plan. So please have a read of the plan and make a submission. The louder our voice hopefully the more we will be able to achieve.

You can make a submission on the PNCC Draft Annual Plan, especially in relation to the Cycling Centre of Excellence, and the City Cycling Plan.
The Council has a document which has info on both projects and a submission form that can be printed.

I like to apologise to Ashhurst rider Harison Rickards. He was a late entry to the CHB tour and BM and I overlooked him when writing the article on the CHB junior tour. This is of consequence because it means that Bike Manawatu had riders in all 8 categories.
