Tough little event today, the first ever XC Eliminator was held as part of Feilding Festival of Cycling.
A lung burning fun short course based at the velodrome in friendly Feilding.
Start and finish was on the tarmac of the velodrome, with the circuit on a mixture of power sapping grass, soft sand and shingle of the Oroua River bank, a touch of single track breaking out onto a potholed gravel road.
A good turn out of members and supporters were welcomed by the host of the evening Ken Young.
Ken started the evening by covering a few housekeeping matters, like emergency exits and what was the order of proceedings for the evening.
First up was the presentation of the “CHAMPIONS JERSEYS” to the girls. These were presented by Ian McKelvie.
