Track Racing start 3rd January 2013

The Track Season will start on the Thursday, 3^rd January 2013 in Feilding.  Warm up from 5:45pm & Racing at 6:10pm.

The full programme for the second half of the season will be available shortly.

For rider’s who have just hired track bikes and never raced before on the track, you will need to contact Ian Gray prior to doing so. Ph: 357 7953 OR 021 12057551

There will be an orientation session organised for these people.

There is also a Track Carnival in Levin 6th January 2013.

UCI Saddle Rule now being enforced

Tim Whitehouse made mention at Tuesday night’s track racing of the UCI Rule regarding “Horizontality of the Saddle” which is now being enforced.  This is very important for rider’s who are competing at either of the Track National events as it sounds like it will be checked.

Christmas Raffle results

In brilliant sunshine on Sunday morning at Wharerata the raffle was drawn.

At the end of the Sunday morning ride that left from Memorial Park all riders whether they were members of Bike Manawatu or not were treated to morning tea and coffee in the grounds of Wharerata. The raffle consisted of three draws and were of prizes that Bike Manawatu had won during the year at The Grass Roots Sports Awards.

TIckets had been sold at the Hill Climb Champs at Ashhurst, track meetings, and at the end of year prizegiving as well as on the day of the draw.

Mike Christie conducted the draw. Third prize went to Ross Rainham. Second prize went to Reece Benson and first prize went to Andrew McKenzie.

Congratulations to the winners and thanks to everyone who bought tickets.
