This weekend we are holding the Individual time trial champs for all age groups.
Look at the calendar for distances and registration details for all of these events. The handicap system will be used to determine final overall results.
Financial members are able to compete for cups that will be presented at the end of the year including the overall club champs both male and female.
On Sunday 17th March are the 2 track event champs for recreational cyclists. These can be competed for on a road bike.
And then the road race champs, again for all age groups, will be held on Saturday 23rd March.
The final event for the overall champs is the Hill climb champs which will be held towards the end of the year.

Three teams from Manawatu headed over to Wanganui to compete in the WCNI TTT competition on Saturday 23rd February.
This event has not been held for the past couple of years so it was good to see that Wanganui was able to host the event for 2013.
The team for the under 17 boys consisted of Jacob Sievwright, Hayden Washington-Smith, Robert Stannard and Alex West with Cameron Huston also available to ride as a replacement for Alex if needed.
As there was no other competition it was relatively easy for them to pick up the gold medal.
In the womens event 3 teams were registered, 2 from Wanganui and the Bike Manawatu ladies. With Cassie Cameron, Victoria Cate, Cherie Prince and Laurika Hazelhurst in the Wanganui A team they were able to win over the team of katherine Stannard, Jocelyn Goodwin, Sue McMaster and Kim Andersen representing Bike Manawatu.
The mens event was contested over the longer 40km distance. With 4 Wanganui teams, 1 from Stratford and 1 from Bike Manawatu this was to be the most contested prize. Our team of Steve Stannard, Luuk van Wagtendonk, George Roberts and Barry Gilliland did well to finish in second place.
Overall 2 silver and 1 gold was a good achievement but not good enough to take out the overall points trophy – more teams were required.
Congratulations to all Bike Manawatu members who participated.

What a perfect day for a fun ride.
All the ladies that participated had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed the brunch at Memorial Park after they crossed the finish line and prizegiving was held.
Tables and chairs quickly filled as the croissants, muffins, yoghurt and fruit were enjoyed in the relaxed surroundings.

Dear Parents/Guardian 20 February 2013
Since 2009, several Manawatu Schools have combined to put on a Schools Cycling Camp. We have been to Apiti School and Rathkeale College previously. In 2013 we want to combine the Camp with the Bush Tour in Pahiatua. The purpose of the camp is to challenge the boys and girls physically, to team build, to do some cycling skills work, to set goals for 2013 and to have some fun.
The cost of the camp is $52.50. This covers: Accommodation $25.00, food including Saturday dinner & Sunday breakfast $12.50, $5 to cover staff costs and $10 for Petrol/gift vouchers for helpers. (This does not cover the cost of the Bush Tour.) This must be paid to the school finance office by Friday, 1 March.
The Camp is at the Masters Hall, Pahiatua (www.mastershall.co.nz ) which is on the left as you head out of Pahiatua towards Eketahuna. The camp is on Saturday 9 & Sunday 10 March.
