Looking at the weather outside today you wouldn’t think it was spring and think that summer is just around the corner. But it is, so it is time to start thinking about the upcoming track season. After inspiring performances at the 2012 London Olympics by both Jesse and Simon, how could anyone not want to have a go on a track bike. After all they started their illustrious careers of track cycling on the Johnston Park velodrome in Feilding.
So some dates have been set and the enquiries for hiring a bike are flowing in already.
The dates are set out below. More dates will be available on the calendar for track happenings soon.
If you want to “have a go” come along to the Have a Go Day.
If you want to hire a bike you MUST make an appointment. There are limited times available. There are limited bikes available.
To make an appointment send an email to secretary@bikemanawatu.co.nz . Please state in the email the size bike you think you require, your age, and the preferred time and date for your appointment and we will try and put you in that spot. As you can see there are plenty of spots to choose from but don’t come without first making an appointment.
You will need to (if under 17) come with a parent who will need to sign the contract and pay for the rental on the day.
