Oceania Track Champs 2020. 16-19 October 2019

Calling all trackies,

The 2020 Oceania Track Championships is the region’s premier national track cycling event, held in rotation between Australia and New Zealand.

The event will see the best track cyclists from the Oceania region, including World Championship, Olympic and Commonwealth Games medallists compete for continental honours and valuable UCI points that will go towards Olympic qualification.

The event will be held at the SIT Zero Fees Velodrome in Invercargill from 16 -19 October 2019 and will be hosted by Cycling Southland.

Entries will be open from 1 September 2019, closing at 5pm on Tuesday 1st October 2019.  Entries are only accepted through your National Federation, Cycling New Zealand R&T Centres or Australian State Organisation. They will be sent the entry forms. The entry form must be completed by the Centre and returned with payment by 1 October 2019. Please contact them directly no later than 25th Sept 2019. The Championships are open to OCC National Teams, OCC UCI registered teams, NZ Centre teams or Australian State teams.

Only Oceania Confederation (OCC) riders are eligible to compete in the Championships (ie NZL, AUS, Guam, Fiji, Vanuatu, Cook Islands – along with Tahiti & New Caledonia).

Entry Fees are payable by all Tier 1 Riders (NZL and AUS)

Entry Fees are waived for Tier 4 Riders (Guam, Fiji, Vanuatu, Cook Islands, Tahiti, New Caledonia)

Entries close 5pm, Tuesday 1 October 2019.

The event is open to Elite and U19 (Men and Women) riders only.

All riders must hold a valid 2019 or 2020 UCI license. However, this is considered a 2020 Championships, therefore, all riders will be competing in their 2020 category eg those riders born in 2002 & 2003 will ride in the U19 category; riders born in 2001 and earlier will compete in the elite championships. 

Non-NZL riders must hold a valid International Licence from their federation.
