This year our professional timing personnel have recommended and provided us with ankle transponders which have proven to be the best change-over and accuracy for results.

Solo Riders will be provided with an ankle Transponder.

Teams will be provided 1 ankle Transponder per team and will be swapped between riders in the Transition Area like a relay.

(The transponder must be exchanged in the transition zone from one team member to the other.)

The transition area will be coned off to allow for riders to carry out their transponder transition safely.

The transponder must be on your LEFT ankle and will be swapped over from Left to Left to ensure we are not reaching across the fence or bikes. And the outgoing rider will be already on the track, lined up against the pit wall ready for the Transponder to be handed over and attached by either the rider themselves, your support person or club volunteer.

(Please note only marshals, team managers / club volunteers with a High Vis Vest will be allowed to help with transition to help riders – team managers / volunteers please come see us at the registration office to grab a high vis vest if required.)

***Your transponder MUST be worn on the left ankle with the tag facing out***

If your transponder is worn on the wrong ankle or is not facing out your lap / time will fail to read as you go past the Start / Finish line to read your lap times. It is the riders responsibility to ensure transponders are worn correctly.

Ankle Transponder
MUST be worn on your LEFT ankle with the Red Transponder facing outwards

The transponders are very expensive items and you will be accountable in the event of loss or damage

Please ensure ALL transponders are returned back to HQ after the event. Thank you

***On the day we will aim to post a live results link to our Facebook page for you all to be able to see how you are doing nice and easy from your device. ***

The course is the 3 Km Chris Amon Manfeild trac, the transition area will be marked off with cones to ensure a safe transponder hand over for teams or solos who would like to dismount for a break. Riders will circulate in an anticlockwise direction.

All riders are to keep on the inside line on all parts of the course. Faster riders are to pass on the line on all occasions. Slower riders have the right of way and are not to deviate to make way for faster riders. Faster riders are to clearly announce that they are coming up on slower riders. Be aware of riders splitting away from a bunch to enter the transition area. Be aware of slower merging riders when leaving the transition area.

If you are going to transition indicate clearly and move to the right hand side of the track prior to coned area.
Riders will enter the transition zone through the Slow Down area and dismount on entry to the Transition Zone. Exchanging the transponder will take place in the transition zone and the new rider is to remount the bike only on exit from transition zone. Entry onto the course proper will only occur when authorised to do so by the marshal. Failure to comply with this rule will see teams penalised

We have a Major Spot Prize which will be announced at the start of prizegiving, recipients MUST be present to collect the prize.

Smaller spot prize recipients drawn via random number generator will be on display in the race office – Please see Keryn in the race office if you are a lucky winner.

Prize giving will take place at approx. 3.30pm.
The aim is for this to take place in the pit lane area in front of our sponsors banner, however if weather does not allow, we will head upstairs to the Toyota Suite.

Manfeild’s Outdoor Caterer – Gala Caterers will have a coffee cart and food available for purchase

Safety, safety, safety, it is priority to complete this event without injury, please be careful.
