The Club has nearly 40 track bikes available for hire, having a range of sizes available from very small (47cm) to extra large (60 cm frame size).
Below is information and process required to hire a track bike from the Club.
All applications for the hire of a track bike must be submitted by the 20 September on the correct form
(This can be downloaded here ) and returned to secretary@bikemanawatu.co.nz
The process for renting track bikes will be strictly adhered to.
Allocation of bikes will be on the following basis.
All applicants must be Bike Manawatu members prior to application.
Priority is given in the following order
1 Junior riders who have participated on Monday nights at Johnston Park on a road bike.
2 Junior riders who have participated in Schools Cycling or older riders who want to try track
3 People who have hired bikes only once
4 People who have hired bikes twice
Bikes will only be hired to Bike Manawatu members so if you are not a member yet you must do this NOW. If you need assistance with this contact secretary@bikemanawatu.co.nz
2. On uplifting a cycle you will be required to pay for the hireage and bond by cheque or immediately pay to club by internet banking.
3. There are three times scheduled to receive bikes from the Clubrooms above the grandstand at Johnston Park Feilding. The Park is located off Drake Street Feilding. Enter South Street (North of Railway line) and Drake runs off South Street.

4. Bring your road bikes, cycling shoes and pedals as this will assist us to provide you with the correctly sized track bike in this pre-fit process.
5. Please know your 2014 license category as we need to install the correct gearing on the track bike.
If you cannot make it on the scheduled dates another time may be able to be arranged.
Please note that it is compulsory for riders new to track racing to attend orientation sessions on Sunday 6th and 13th October at 3pm at the track Johnston Park.
