What a stunning morning it was for our Graded Road Race at Glen Oroua. Summer made a welcome return, treating the ~50 riders out on the course to beautiful conditions.
Huge thanks to Sam Richardson for Timing, Rachel O’Dea for sag wagon, Tim Lloyd for traffic management, and the 9 amazing mentor riders who did a brilliant job looking after our younger riders.
It was fantastic to see the next generation of cyclists enjoy the event, with nearly 20 primary & intermediate aged kids taking part across D & E Grades. Some of these kids tackling their very first Road event – fantastic effort to all of you for giving it a go. Hannah Peel continues to impress in D Grade crossing the line in first.
In A grade Filip Martin broke away early on and rode solo to a well-deserved victory.
B and C Grades delivered exciting sprint finishes. Carl Dickason claimed the win in B Grade, while Julia Hutchinson edged ahead of Maggie Lintott in a tight finish to take out C Grade.
