A fun night was had by all which started with an apology of sorts from Glenys to all present for not being better organised. The many hats that are part of her life were noted.
Hill Climb Champs
This year the champs were held up Saddle Rd on Saturday 23rd November after the schools prizegiving.

Club Road Race Champs This year it was raced again on the Hiwinui – Colyton loop and the juniors had a separate event in November where the older riders rode the champs in April. Cups are to be presented tonight.

Novice tour presentations

21 Croad challenge trophy (best U15 rider)She started out the year competing at various junior tours then went on to Club Nationals at Queenstown where she won the girls time trial. She has been selected as part of the under 17 girls junior development squad and recently competed at the Yunca tour where she won the QOM jersey and at Novice tour she won both the Sprint and QOM jerseys Libby Arbuckle
22 Baker Family Trophy (best U17 rider) He started the year also competing at various junior tours and is also part of the NZ junior development squad. He was 2nd in National Road Race held in Queenstown.He was second on the Junior Points series before the Novice tour and went on to win the GC for under 17 Novice tour Campbell Stewart
23 PNMCC trophy (best U19 rider) As an under 17 rider he won the Broadway cup For club road champs completing 3 laps of Hiwinui circuit in 1hr 34 mins. This year he has competed consistently at handicap races and was 2nd at the Queenstown Club road champs Jordan Castle
24 Ooteman Cup (most improved female rider over 23) She competed at the Masters Games in Wanganui for the first time coming away with medals in every event. She has competed at a number of club road events and will continue to improve in years to come. Pania Hudson
25 Bill Love Memorial Cup (Most improved female cyclist u23) selected as part of the Junior development squad unfortunately not here tonight Elizabeth Stannard
26 Theo de Cuff Memorial shield (administrator of yr) He is the behind the scenes person who on a weekly basis emails every member of the club plus more. He not only keeps the newsletters coming out on a weekly basis but this year has upgraded the website to a new vibrant look. Vaughan Hunt
27 Fowler Cup (most improved male rider u 23) He did a time trial time of 26.25 last year and chopped it back to 23.05 this year. In the club hill climb champs he knocked off 40 secs from the previous years time. He made a decisive move to get his under 19 licence so he could ride in the under 19 age category of the Novice tour and finished 11th on GC. Hayden Washington-Smith
28 Ooteman Cup (most improved male rider over 23) As a tag along just keeping an eye on his son he started his first race for the club at the beginning of the winter season. He has gone on to compete regularly whenever able and is sure to get more out of his cycling in years to come Fraser Allan
