Next step in Club Racing
After our successful link up with BM Schools cycling at Colyton 3 weeks ago and last week at Kairanga for the ITT we are on again this weekend for graded racing around Colyton Hiwinui circuit. (Register Here)
The events team cannot stress enough about the importance of registering early. With the success of BM racing in 2020 we, as organisers, are not prepared to run poor events by having low numbers.
We all know the importance of reaching a balance with the amount of racing that we do and also the type of racing. Many members will take on any course, some will be more choosy. Our challenge as a club is to cater for everyone. At this time of the year we work with schools cycling and their calendar. So there are 2 road races and 2 TTT’s in the next 5 weeks. As I mentioned before, If we don’t get a good amount of entries on line early we would look at cancelling.
Bike Manawatu has 3 teams entered for the North Island series which runs from late September through to end of November.
Many thanks to Michelle Turner and all other racers for getting this together. Part of the races this year are Team Time Trials so with 2 TTT’s on the MSC calendar there will be time to get that discipline sorted.
Ride safe, the shortest day is behind up, ready for a busy spring and summer of racing
