It is with regret that the Board received the below correspondence from Andrew Ward at its meeting last night.
In the short time that Andrew has been a member of the Board he has made a valuable contribution. Steps are now under way to appoint according to the constitution a replacement for Andrew.
We all wish Andrew the best for his big move to the deep South and hope to see him back doing a Sunday ride or Saturday race when he visits the Manawatu.

RESIGNATION FROM BIKE MANAWATU BOARD
Dear Glenys,
It is with regret that I wish to tender my resignation from the board of Bike Manawatu. I have recently accepted a new position with my employer which requires me to relocate to the South Island. I will be taking up this new role on the 19th of September and therefore my last board meeting will be the 5th September.
In the short time I have had the privilege of being a member of the board of Bike Manawatu I have enjoyed it immensely and been impressed with the cohesiveness and enthusiasm of the entire board to foster and promote cycling in the Manawatu.
I wish the board all the very best for the future.
