Pre-registrations are now open for our Cheltenham Classic HERE With our new timing system we aim to make registering easy for our riders and in return a seamless results process also. Please take the time to pre register to help speed up the process on the day – we will also accept late registrations on the day but with the new system please allow time while we are in the “learning phase”
Just like all great club races we are always looking for Volunteer Superstars to help us out. If you are available to assist we’d love to hear from you. Positions required are: - Race Manager - Assistant Race Manager / Registration - Timing / Finish Judge - Traffic Set Up - Marshal x3 - Sag Wagon Driver
Volunteers are a crucial part of who we are as a club
**Volunteers do not necessarily have the time; they just have the heart*
Would you be interested in training to become a club STMS?
Traffic management plans are becoming a big part of cycle racing. Without them we simply cannot run races on the open road. We want to create a good rotation so everyone can ride their bikes and join in on our races. To do this we need to increase the pool of people we can call upon to be the duty STMS. In general terms a cycling event STMS may be responsible for preparing a new traffic plan (if we are using a new circuit) lodging traffic management plans with the council and assisting with course set up and collection. The more qualified people we have the more we can share this around and prevent races from being cancelled.
If you or someone you know would be keen to give back to our club and train in this position please send expressions of interest to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please find the link for the track meeting results from 22 Jan 2019. Some exceptional times posted for the 500m time trial especially in the wind. Special mention to Jack Overweel who posted a time which was 1 second outside of Campbell Stewart's U15 500m record.
