Our Manawatu schools start their annual North Island Schools Road Championship on Saturday the 8th of July and for three days of hard racing. With them is an amazing group of dedicated supporters to cheer them on. Our schools have a proud tradition of producing top riders and this new wave of keen young talent we know will represent themselves, their schools, parents, supporters, and the club the best they can. The club wishes them a safe successful campaign.
This is where our current stars like Campbell Stewart, Robert Stannard, Michaela Drummond and others where were all born in this competitive schools racing environment. Check out results on Facebook manawatu schools cycling.

Rob Ryan is a valued club member who year after year gives back to the sport he loves. He like all cyclists develop many friendships while riding a bike along the way. Rob has organised many charity rides for groups leaving people with some fantastic memories and stories to keep forever. We pay tribute to Rob and his team at Palmfeild Motors and congratulate them for winning New Zealands No 1 Mazda Dealer of the year.
Steve and Catherine Stannard and their cycling family have been an amazing contributor to the club and in general the sport across NZ and Australia. From event management to riding, racing and coaching to all things cycling at a higher level we appreciate their knowledge and support. Can I encourage all cycling groups to pop into their intimate Cyclista Cafe on George street to experience great coffee and the feel of sitting in a small "Tour de France" Cycling village type cafe with memorabilia. It is our way of saying thank you.
